Lisa Folio, Ex-F.B.I. Lawyer Whose Texts Criticized Trump, Breaks Silence

The texts were released in December 2017. In them, Ms. Page and Mr. Strzok had expressed fear that Mr. Trump could win the presidential election.
"This homo cannot be president," Ms. Page wrote in March 2016.
"She just has to win at present," she said in a July 2016 bulletin, referring to Hillary Clinton. "I'yard not going to prevarication, I got a flash of nervousness yesterday nigh Trump."
In his texts to Ms. Page, Mr. Strzok referred to Mr. Trump as an "idiot" and a "douche." Shortly before the 2016 election, he wrote that the prospect of a Trump presidency made him "scared for our organization."
Intelligence agencies have adamant that the Russian government carried out a multipronged attack on the 2016 presidential election with the ultimate aim of helping Mr. Trump become elected. But the text messages fueled suspicion amongst Republicans that the investigation into connections between the Trump campaign and Russia was politically motivated, and that the F.B.I. and intelligence agencies — what Mr. Trump has chosen "the deep state" — were conspiring against the president.
Mr. Trump has mocked the relationship betwixt Ms. Page and Mr. Strzok and defendant them of being part of a "witch hunt."
